Stock Boost on 05

Does anyone have the stock boost specs for the 05' Cummins?

Also does anyone know what the fuel pressure is with the new in-tank pump for the '05?

Mine makes about 32 absolute max. I'm bone stock.

I have seen 32-34 depending on load and conditions

Sounds like a 35lb gauge is not the way to go.

not too much... . 15psi or 30psi will do you for that. [03-04. 5].



hmm... maybe not... thinking, them 05's should have the in tank lift pump... not sure what the pressures will be. . ?

A quick look through my stuff doesn't show any pressure specs for the 05 but previous models operate @ 7-9 psi .

Mine must be normal then because I usually see 30-32psi boost on hard accelleration. Haven't towed anything heavy enough to really make it jump.

Many thanks to everyone. Looks like a 50 to 60 psi turbo boost gauge will be necessary then even for a stocker. Any thoughts?

That seems to be the case on 600 and up engines. My 325/600 would boost 32-34 completely stock. It would hit 38-39 with Dr Performance Stage II fuel/boost box. I have an Autometer 60PSI boost gauge.

My 600 spikes to about 32psi or so and then levels off at about 26-27psi. As for fuel pressure, there aren't any psi specs. It's given as a certain amount of flow. Don't remember it off hand. I plan on installing a guage and just making sure it stays at the current level.
