I went on a rarly used trail today to waste some time before going to work and found a big a** hole. I heard a thud from the front end but didn't think much of it till I got about half way to work and got a DW at about 50MPH on a gently curved road. Got it slowed down to about 40 and it went away. I limped it in the restofthe way to work. 2 lights and a stop sighn away. I got out and looked and found the front stabilizer shock snapped cleanly in two and it looks like the housing of the shock got slammed into the tie bar. It also looks like the chrome on the shock bent about 15* before snapping. I just got off the horn with Dodge Service and they said "Its still in warrenty, bring it in and we should be able to do something for you even if its taking it off another truck.
I am not a big fan of dealerships and thier service departments but if they do steal this part it will be the second time they do it for me.
Could it be with you guys with big tires that the stabilizer shock is inadequate to keep the tires from wobbleing if I get it with stock rims, tires, and suspension? Minus the stabilizer shock?
