Took my 04. 5 (2500, 4. 10 gears, auto) into Speedworks here in Lewisville just to have a benchmark done. I was surprised at the results. With a completely stock truck with a little over 10K on it and on the factory oil it came out on the 3rd run with 279 hp and 538 ft/lbs. They ramped it up to around 3300 RPM with the hp peaking out at around 2875 RPM and the torque around just above 2600 RPM. They didn't take the overdrive out so it put a good test on the transmission. I'm wondering if it would have come out any better with the overdrive disabled(?). I'd really like to see anyone else's results who have a stock 04. 5 or 05. The damn vibration is still there starting at around 2100-2200 RPM though. I haven't made an issue with the dealership but I think I might very soon.

04. 5, 2500, SWB, off road package, 4. 10, auto

Personally, I don't think that you can get accurate torque numbers without some means of manually locking up the converter. The torque peak should be around 1400-1600rpms, you can't get there with our crappy T/C's...

I did 285/545 on my 04. 5 stock. They run it up until it locks the converter

in overdrive, ease off of it for a bit, nail the peddle and start sampling . It runs hard all the way to the red line. You can see the defueling start just before 3K

From 2200 to 2900 the hp and tq curves are very flat.

My 04. 5 stock with 315s and 3. 73 auto.

First run: all gears with power brake boost: 281hp /no pickup for diesel torque

Second run: 3rd gear/OD lockout run to lockup and Nailed: 282hp /no pickup for diesel torque

Cant find the dyno sheet to post hp peaks, but they were in the documented 2900 rpm range.
