Stock Exhaust size for '03?

I've searched for this but can't find anything. What is the stock exhaust size for a 2003 2500 Quad 4x4 CTD? I've bought mine used and I'm trying to find out if any mods have been done to it. It looks to have 4" on it now.

I'm not sure but I thought the '03's had a 3 1/2" system on them?

I thought mine (03/early04) was 3 before the muffler and 4 after the muffler before I ripped it off.



I think the 04. 5 and up had 4 all the way.



Edit: Yup... 3. 5 not 3 from turbo to muf

My '04 with HO engine was 3 1/2" from the turbo to the muffler, and 4" for the tailpipe.

Great... that's kind of what I thought. It looks to be 4" from the muffler back. I haven't looked closely at the turbo to the muffler yet. So I'm guessing the truck is completely stock from all I can tell. Time for some "upgrades"!

The 90deg elbow off of my turbo is 4", however the downpipe and straight pipe to the muffler was 3. 5". After the muffler, it was 4".



I now have 4" all the way from the turbo to the tailpipe.

Hey the exhaust elbow is a reduced fitting from 4" to 3. 5". The down tube is 3. 5" the cat should be 3. 5 if you have one. My truck was 4" from the muffler back.

Now I have upgraded the exhaust elbow to a full 4x4 with a 4" down tube. The dealer hooked me up with factory parts from a 2004. 5-2005 exhaust set up. Eliminate the cat; new muffler and POW 4" exhaust system for around $400
