Stock fuel gauge not working sometimes?

Maddening Boinging

It only took 3 tries for the dealer to rotate my tires!

This happen now 3 times in 2 years. Yes I know it is not that big of a deal, but when you are driving down the road and your fuel gauge dings and shows MT. I know I had a 1/2 of a tank. Shut it off restart the first time two years ago, Yesterday it did not work untill the 4th startup Had to be places could not look at it then.

Could be and I will need to check the following tonight after work:

Lose Fuse.

Wires going to the tank.

Wire going to the back of the gauge.



Any other Ideas.

Will keep you up on what happens.

There is a good fix, Change out the tank for one of them 60 gal tanks??? that will fix that gauge.

I think there might be a TSB for this. It might be for a slow react time for the gauge but it may be worth a shot.
