Competition Stock HX-35's Highest HP Record

There has to be some kind of record for this for what it's worth. The Truck is a 97' 5 speed with 200K on the clock, A Plate, stock DV's, a Stock 35 with an 18. 5 housing and a set of PDR 370's together with a Stage 2 Snow Performance Water/Methanol kit, the final results were 432. 6 fuel and 496. 3 with water, here is the kicker, making a blast from 3rd to the top of 5th(110mph) netted just shy of 1500 degrees at 40 psi... . 1350 degrees on the dyno!

Yep Mark it is Chuck's truck, he was really wanting 500 but she was a no go, I was making plate changes to the tune of a few HP... . like 4 HP, been good here but real busy, should be out there for MM if everything goes as planned.

back when the 35 was still on, 451 here jim, on a mustang. i think could hit 500 with a touch of n2o...



great job on the 496 though... 35's are the tuffest.

Kenny, it takes a bit of tuning to get there but it can be done with your combo, You have the clutch and plate, upgrade to 4K's... . his needs it too and get some 370's or EDM's. I have at my house a 21cm housing but I haven't tried it yet, lag is no issue as it's no existent. On the combo a 40 would net 25-30 HP more but so would my injectors

Jim,

I remember seeing Jonathon Knapp(HighPerf360) crank out well over 500HP, I think it was around 530 HP with his stock turbo a couple of years ago up in Tulsa.

He wanted to prove you could hit over 500 HP with the stock 35, and he did it and more.

Man that is right, I forgot about him, stock turbo, 3" exhaust and shooting the bottle to it..... that guy just fell out of the lime light, heck I was at 300+ then
