With all the discussion about lift pumps, lines, etc. who can tell me the specs?
Many people have studied this at lenght, ripped apart pumps, flow testing, etc.
So... what is the Stock Lift Pump rated at as far as PSI and GPH? When does the internal bypass lift?
Carter makes a few that are rated 6psi 72gph, 8psi 72gph, 8psi 100gph (same pump but 3/8 pipe instead of 1/4 pipe inlet/outlet, hence more gph I'm guessing) and 18psi 100gph. Seems as if a simple internal change to the crack point of the internal bypass is all that is done at Carter to give the different ranges of PSI.
That stock lift pump seems to be in the 16 to 17psi range as far as I can tell, and probably flows 72gph or less because inlet/outlet are slightly smaller than 1/4 pipe.
I'm guessing... does ANYONE have the specs???
