Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition Nitrous?

Competition edge drag comp?

What have we found out the RPM limits to be on our trucks??

be it a 12Valve or even a 24Valve

When do they start to come apart or when do the valves start to float???

Michael

Just throwing a dart at it... anything above redline is dependent upon each individual engine. Then, how many times can you run it at max RPM before it flies apart?

Sorry I'm speculating on you... just think when you run over redline, you're gambling. I'm sure some racers can give you a good idea. It'll be interesting to see range of answers you get.

Pretty reliable source tells me that there was a 99 stock bottom end hitting 6K leaving the line. The 12V seem to float the valves pretty early. Haisly sells a kit(springs, keepers, and retainers) that they say is good for over 5000.

I THINK STOCK CAMS LIKE TO SNAP AT ABOUT 4300-4500 RPM, VALVE FLOAT DEPENDS ON CONDITION OF SPRINGS AND BOOST LEVELS

Michelle's truck spun well into the 5000 rpm range for 2 seasons with stock 12v

(96) bottem end and cam for 2 seasons and never came apart.

the highest is right before it comes apart i have been running 4k-4300 rpms for the last 2 pulling seasons on a complete stock block with 165k on the ticker i know i am running a ticking time bomb i just keep thinking i have more time on the clock
