What are the stock pump settings on our injection pumps and how would I be able to get back to them. For instance... If I screw in the full power screw all the way, how many turns out is stock. Ditto for all the other adjustments.

I turned mine OUT to remove the lock collar. Counted 17 revolutions to remove it. Turned it in 18. 5, also I cut a scribe line in the hex[end]to keep track of where I'm at as well as a log book of all settings.

You won't turn it in until you have removed the collar and then the tack weld buggers up the thread. I removed mine as stated above to assist in the removal of the collar and clean up the threads.

Unfortunately, there is no hard and fast rule for "stock" settings, at least not without taking it off and flowing it on a machine. I had 2 that were stock at about 2 turns back from the collar; 1 that was stock at the collar, and a few in between. Current one was probably stock at the collar- looks to be 2-3 threads past it now. FOr the AFC pin and spring, I believe, 1/2-2/3 of max 'depth' is stock, again, relative to full power adjustment. Spring tension is 3-5 turns up form bottom, depending on housing size of turbo (18 or 21- bigger one was a hair tighter to lessen smoke). I always back my "smoke screw" (T25 torx and 12mm) out so the diaphragm rests against the bottom of the AFC top. I figure, I have no boost off the line, why give it extra fuel until it has air to burn it? Put a set of guages on it- peak EGT should be about 1050-1150 in manifold; 14-16psi boost.

Guys,

Thanks for the info. I know there isn't a "stock" setting. I should have asked for a stock range, which is pretty much what you gave me. :) I'm trying to get myself back to a stock baseline so I cak troubleshoot a low power condition off of idle. I'll start a new thread fo that...
