Has anyone found a repacement for the stock automatic?

It seems there should be a Allison or other medium duty truck trans that would mount up to the Cummings.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Check out these guys.

They do not have a conversion to mount a Cummins to (that I know of) an Allison yet.

But, they do modify the Duramax Allison's, along with make great upgraded Dodge transmission's.

We have several Ford F700's at work with the 6BT engines in them. Anyone know what they would put behind those for auto's ??

A properly modified 47 or 48 re will hold just as much or more HP/TQ as an allison. There is a reason that both ATS and DTT are working on upgrades for the Allison in the GM. .

The expense of swaping to a different transmission will be much more than getting a serious upgrade done to your stock transmission.

DDT has done some Alison trannys Got Juice on our web site www.nwbombers.com had it done to his maxxy the last week of Jan.

I would think that mating the new Allison or other transimission to the Cummings wouldn't be the hardest part. Getting all the eletronics and computer required to control the transmission would probably be the greatest challenge.

I would go with DTT i love my 47re and you will not beat the customer service! but look around at all the guys and what there running and the HP levels from tow-800hp (thanks DTT)
