I just bought this used truck last week and today I looked closer at the tires and did not find a letter code rating. I did find a weight rating of 2640lbs/tire, and an stamp showing 4 ply. Isn't this more like a C range tire?? Seems too light for this 2500 truck doesnt it? I would appreciate it if someone could look at their stock tires and tell me the letter code rating, weight rating, and # of plies. They look new and are good tires, I just wonder if they are safe for this truck.

They are Goodyear wrangler radials, and I suspect they are takeoffs from a 1/2 ton PU or SUV.

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I was going to say as well that I thought the E rated tires would be rated for 3400 LBS. However, if you do not pull heavy loads, or haul heavy, they would be OK. But if you are going to load it up, I would get load range E (10 ply)
