Stock transmission upgrades

I recently turned over 100,000 miles on my bone stock 48re. I'm due for a fluid and filter change. Even with 100hp over stock, I am pretty impressed at how well the auto has held up and still shifts well. I also know that I am on borrowed time with it. My question is what are some budget minded upgrades that I should do while I have the pan off for filter change? I have read some on here about band adjustments. I'm not at all familiar with that. Are there some detailed instructions and/or pictures somewhere to follow? I am planning on doing all of the work myself. I'm open to any suggestions and appreciate detailed instructions if possible. Need to stretch as much life out of this transmission as possible till I can afford a built one. Thanks
