Step 1 of the mod tree is gauges, so it seems you're behind the curve already. Get the gauges.

Fill out your signature so that we know more about your truck. Auto/5sp/6sp?? I would save the money for the turbo cool down timer and pick up a used Edge EZ as a first mod. Turbo does not need mods until you have EGT issues to resolve.

Get a DSS and 3 Gen track bar so that truck drives better.

^^^^^^^^ All excellent advice!

There is a logical and proper sequence of add-ons and mods - GAUGES to be properly aware of engine operation is the absolute FIRST!

As far as the J-hook I would give your money to one of those two companies when for less then $10 you can have your own J-hook out of a hardware store. What I did is found a turnbuckel that is close to the same length and then found two nuts to act as lock nuts, one was left hand tread, and some low strenght locktite. Just put it on just take your time to get it right. Also do a search on here for J-hooks and you should get some good info. Also my max boost is 33 lbs. with a comp and 4" straight exhaust. Andrew

Sam, as a newbe I hope you know that adding additional boost without a box to fool the ECM will cause problems. If you have an Auto transmission the HY35 is good to about 27 Lbs and the HX on the manuals is good to around 32-34 lbs. Additional boost on its own is going to do little for the performance of the truck. The used EZ I said to start with will do the boost fooling for the engine, but again you may do need additional boost at this point.

I would sell the hypertech and get a Juice with attitude, that way you get your box and your gauges all at once. A good set of gauges will cost well over $300 (could go even higher depending on brand) for boost, pyro and fuel pressure plus hardware. If you have an auto a transmission temp is a good idea too. You get all of that and more with the Juice w/Attitude!

Thanks Roger! but yea any other help would help thanks guys this web site is great!

Good ideas going with the three gauges, but I see an important one missing. A fuel pressure gauge would be the hightst on my priority list.
