Stolen Exhuast Stacks in Maryland

I loaned my exhuast stack kit with 7" stacks to my brother for his truck til I fixed my dually. My brother had transmission issues in his 98. 5 dodge and was at Mid Atlantic Diesel performance in Mt Airy, MD when the stacks were stolen. The owner of the shop is doing everything he can to help us out(thank you), but lately I have been dealing with a vandilized fuel system on one of my trucks with extensive damage and it dont seem like insurance company will take care of me. needless to say I am very angry about yet another individual messing with my cheap stuff (sarcasism).



Any information leading to the recovery of my stack kit will be rewarded. I paid over $1,000 for the exhuast, it is unique by the size of the stacks and other unspecified characteristics. if you live in the area let me know if you know of anyone+address who has added stacks to their truck or "just got" stacks for it in the Mt Airy, MD area since january 27th 2010. I want to inspect it myself. Thanks

my brother just found out they got his new never used 4" downpipe too! and the shop owner told me they got another customers exhuast downpipe to stacks. please be on the look out for these stacks in the mt airy, md area and other online forum classifieds.

How low can you be to steal exhaust pipe?

If it was at the repair shop they're responsible. don't care what the signs say. if it's worth it go to small claims . don't think they will want your business after but they are responsible

Won't be too hard to spot, Not everyone is driving around with stacks. But..... If it was a stainless steel set-up it very well could be on it's way to the scrap yard or recyclers. Metal bums always look around at auto shops for metal being left out. The bums down here are evil, They steal bronze plaques, Grave markers and they'll tear your copper gutters off your home or business. When I installed my FabFours rear bumper at my shop I left it outside for 4 hours... . Came back and it was gone! Thieves suck!

I live in Boyds and will keep an eye out. I just had my truck at Lloyds last week and had nothing stolen but my stacks run through a camper shell so not as easy to steal. Had my truck there several times with no problems but keep us posted what you find and I'll keep my eyes open also. I'm in the Mt. Airy area quite often.

yeah... I dont know what the shop owner thinks of me but i respect him enough not to do that. I was thinking more on the lines of doing the police departments job by finding them. then hand them the reins.

I have seen two trucks up your that way with stacks through caps. Im assuming your the dodge. nice looking truck. you may have noticed us in the gray QC shortbed with 7" straight piped stacks pass you by a time or 2.

You check craigslist or the local classifieds. Some theives are stupid. That is how my friend found out his stolen axels, they were outside his new house, not on the truck.
