I do believe our taxes are too high. Too many giveaway programs. But for those contemplating not paying, you better put it in the bank with interest, cause they WILL get their money!

Had some guy (obvious liberal city dweller) doing political surveys come in the store yesterday. The topic was Bush's tax cut. He started to explain to me the issue before I checked "for" or "against". I interupted him and told him I already knew where I stood and checked the "for". He was a little ruffled but says, "Ok, would you like to put anything in the comment section?" I say, "Yep. I Democrat will burn in hell before he will ever give you a tax cut. " He didn't hang around much longer than that. I didn't even get a chance to say, "You ain't from around here are ya?" #ad

So, without taxation how do we pay for things like the military, police & fire dept, education, road construction, OSHA, EPA, SSI etc, etc? Not saying I agree with how the taxes are spent but that I do believe we benefit from a lot of these services & we have an obligation to fund them.

Did these protestors have a suggestion for anything better? (just about anything will be better IMO) Or were they just ******* & moaning like so many other 'protestors'?

My three cardinal rules: (The first two apply here, but the last puts perspective on the first two. )

Don't mess with people who make the law, are the law, or keep the law(yers) on retainer.

Don't mess with people who buy paper by the role and ink by the barrel. No matter how untrue their opinion, when written and said enough times it becomes the "truth".

Don't take or threaten what a man values most. (freedom, family, dignity, etc. ) A man with nothing to loose is an uncivilized beast who's courage and survival instinct knows no bounds and recognizes no laws.
