I've NEVER had it done to mine... Great to have a small town dealer that WANTS YOUR return business!
Maybe its because I have a manual, but I cannot think of a good reason to leave the door open when backing?

There isn't a good reason. The way the seat is positioned and the body design it is extremely hard to lean out the door and look back anyway. Good reason to invest in backup camera if the mirrors don't work.
If you're backing into a tight spot in the woods you have to look up for branches hitting the trailer. Especially on uneven ground where the trailer is rocking back and forth. Or have a competent spotter but sometimes you need a spotter on both sides. There isn't a good reason. A good backup camera is something I would like, the biggest issue is where to put it in the cab. Maybe replace the UG with a CTS??

I have seem retired truckers who can visualize the space and slide right in but you're average recreational trucker can't do it.
Genos is selling a Rostra kit that uses a 4" rearview mirror display that is pretty dam nice, though I think that the Boyo VTL375HD license plate camera is an excellent camera, better then the Rostra. At some point in time, I am going to put my own kit together using the Boyo and another rearview mirror display, for about the same price as Genos, but perhaps a higher resolution pic, if that matters. I may even put one in front so that I can pull up as far as possible to walls without hitting them, as my light bar sticks out an extra 9" or so from my truck.
