:-{} “Stop The Talk Diesel Dyno Day” :-{}

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday…February 13, 2005, a one time dyno event to show everyone what you’ve got. The day after the TDR Summit there will be a dyno day held at ATS Diesel Performance. Dyno runs will be $75 for three passes. First place will be awarded 70%, Second place 20%. For example if we can dyno 50 trucks @ $75 per truck, the first place truck will collect $2,625. 00 ! Run what you brung and hope you brung enough. Since there is prize money at stake, and to maintain some confidentiality, please email -- email address removed -- to reserve your spot. Get signed up as soon as possible, spots will be going fast. The more people that dyno the bigger the prize money. Oo.

So, come out for a day of education and some playtime as well. All vendors and shops are welcome. Local hotels are available, such as the American Motel on I-70 West of Kipling St. , have agreed to put anyone that is away from home up for the weekend for a discounted rate of $37 ($42 after taxes) per room, per night with double occupancy. Just tell them you are with the TDR group or the Turbo Diesel Registry and they will set you up. Quality Inn has also agreed to do a group rate of $55 per night, plus applicable taxes. I (we) hope to see you all here!

Hey Jake, can we get some sort of official hint list as to who will be there when you have it figured out? I would come just to see some of the top end east/west dyno queens (and their trucks too :p ) if I had an idea of who'd be there.

Hey Jake whats up, I will be there. I have got five trucks comming for sure maybe two of three more. PS we need to talk about something.

Jake, I won't be running my truck, as I know where I stand, and it ain't high!

I am not sure how long I will be there, but when I am there I can help out with the dyno if you need it, hooking up the tach or whatever, which I did in July after the Truck Fest.

Let me know if you need help.

With that kind of prize money at stake it would almost be worth a trip from Maryland..... unless Mr. Fulmer goes then i'd be wasteing my time...

I believe the prize is based on turnout. if lots of folks show up the purse is gonna be large.

Just a suggestion. . . .

Turnout would probably be even better if there were some sort of contingency prizes awarded to the guys who HAVEN'T got the two or three baddest trucks.

I'm not talking about a boobie prize or anything, but at least something any guy or gal can take home to show for having been a competitor. This can be a matter of show-n-shine type stuff, longest distance traveled to compete, etc.

Hey Jake,

What time does dyno start spinning?

Also, can you give us number of trucks signed up so far? I realize keeping who will be there is somewhat secretive, but just a number so I know how long the day will go.

Here we go, today was a blast... soon we make smoke.

I'll be at the shop to have trucks ready to sign in by 8ish. Rollers will probly start at 9ish. See you all there. :D

That was a fun time. Some strong trucks were there, but MADDOG is the king. BTW, soon after I took this picture, my son and I EVACUATED the building! :D

Mark Kendrick, it was nice to meet you. That compound setup you and Craig showed Kirk and I, is sweet.

I don't think it went to 1000, in the 800's I think. It was kind of hard to see the screen. :D I didn't think one truck could fill a 100,000 SF facility with soot

Thanks MadDog for coming down and showing us how to git-r-done.

Thanks Sickram for the carnage. I hope you get it back together soon. We'll look forward to seeing a lot more of you and your truck.

Thanks Clint, Jake and ATS for having the dyno day.

Truck is up and running again, I guess it was just the turbo. The internals seem to be OK so far. The noise that was comming from the exhaust was the gallon of oil puked from the turbo. After I took it for a test drive it sounded fine. Well I guess bring on the twins.

They're sitting on the bench at ATS ;):)

Sorry about your truck. It sounded really good until it BLEW

Fellas, you should've seen the hole in the turbo... It was pretty cool as carnage goes.

Sick_ram, you have to save that turbo. everyone needs their own 'wall of shame'. They make for great conversation pieces.
