I've been chasing a rattle I thought was coming from the glove box but discovered that my storage bin had cracked and was the actual culprit. It cracked across the fold were it attaches to the dash at the bottom.

To replace it would be $40 but I'm wondering if anyone has made better use of that space than Dodge did. It doesn't really get used for anything except on a rare occasion when I put something in there and then can't remember what in the hell I did with it:mad:

I'ts that space right behind the stick shift and below the radio. Any ideas?

I have a strobe bar, work lites and bumper lites,so the best place I could find for a switch box is in that hole. I took the dash piece out and had to use a Dremel to grind the plastis melted rivets off of the BUCKET part, then made a bracket to hold the switch box recest in so when reinstalled it sits flush with the dash. .

Here's an idea...

Get the Kelderman Air Ride with 5" of lift. Put on a set of 35" tires on custom wheels. Install some fender flares to keep the dirt off of the truck from those new tires. Put on an Edge box and a Pacbrake to make up anything you lost in power and braking from the larger tires.

Oh yeah, the controls and air gauges for the air ride go in the broken cubby hole with a replacement plate.

This is the logic I'm thinking of using on the wife to justify the desired setup.

I gotta go down to the garage and break my cubby hole box. :D

That useless cubby bin...

is what the Dodge engineers decided to put in the wasted space that was left over after manufacturing the dash:rolleyes:

I've never used mine and like the switch plate ideas;)

Now we're talkin! There's a couple of solid suggestions although there isn't much chance of the wife going for the airlifts:D She did surprise me however and suggested that I try mounting a CB in there. My dash looks just like the one traded V-10 found a pic of. Anyone with a CB ever try stuffing one in there?
