Storage Hole (Under the HVAC Knobs) DIN Conversion

Does anyone know of any informaiton pertaining to converting the storage hole underneith the HVAC knobs into a DIN sized slot? If possible, I would like to throw a foldout LCD screen in there without losing the stock sound system. I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

i've thought about doing the same so i can have a monitor for a backup camera...

Something I've thought about many times as well. . But I am not sure that there is enough depth there for a DIN unit.
