Well, I got my order from Genos garage.

Straight Pipe, EGT gauge, front molded mud flaps, Rear flaps with the chrome weights.

All are installed, Damm that pipe sounds great :) a bit of a drone at 2100 RPM while accelerating but I can live with that. Sounds like a Mac truck. My wife hates it but, she never likes anything I do.

Genos made a mistake and shipped me 2 EGT gauges, one with my initial order (stated on the invoice that it was on back order) then a few days later another one arrived. I called them and told them of there mistake. Genos proceeded to send me a return box with a label and also gave me a free Fleetgaurd oil filter for being honest, which I thought was very nice of them.

Egt gauge was easy to install, the best way is to remove the fender well liner to drill the exhaust manifold (I don't have a right angle drill). Now I want to do LED's but I am having trouble locating the right ones for the rear fenders. I want them to mount like the factory lights. (sliding them forward and the rear of the light pops out then it can be removed) Does anyone make a direct replacement? I have done searches on this site and went to a few sites but I have no Idea which lights would work.

All I can say is that I am loving this truck :)

Genos made a mistake

I'm surprised they didn't throw in one of those junk oil filter tools for free along with the filter :-laf

I'm running a Walker muffler and thinking about straight piping it, just curious on the sound change and if you guys that had an aftermarker muffler and went to a straight pipe like the sound.

the sound change is unreal... there is NO comparison with any muffler to the sound of a straight pipe... even a VERY small resonator totally changes the raw sound of straight pipe.

obviously it's different strokes for different folks, but, I think a turbo diesel should be straight piped. period. end of discussion. ;)

I sure like my setup, and so do many others. I'd like to record a sound clip and post it. I've got a new Pentax digi cam that does mpegs, I'll mess around with that :D

I'm thinking about adding an exhaust cutout so I can listen to the throaty sound and can turn it off when the little woman is riding with me and when I don't want to make too much noise.

Anyone have any experience with a Quicktime electric exhaust cutout?

No experience with a cut out on a diesel but mine sounds great with a straight pipe even though I have an auto. Lots of "thumbs-up"
