my 01 quit and was towed into Madison Ga. looking for a place to get repair service .

looks serious

codes p0122

p0230

p1693

p0216

po522

0122-apps sensor signal voltage to low. 0230- transfer pump circuit out of range. 0216- fuel injection pump timing failure. 0522- oil pressure voltage to low. the 0216 generally means the pump is shot. how is the charging rate of the alternator, battery condition etc. seems all the others are related to voltage problems.

Madison is less than 1 hour from McDonough, GA - home of Garmon's Diesel Performance - they just recently dynoed a Cummins/Dodge at over 1000HP.

Jeff Garmon's website -

http://www.dieselperformancemotorsports.com/gdpopening.html

Contact information -

Call Jeff

866-898-8585 or 770-898-8585

You can also try David Dunbar at Diesel Performance Motorsports. 678-878-1031. I think David and Jeff hang out together. At least one of them should be full of advice for your situation.

Hope this helps,

John

Sounds like a shot VP.

If the tow truck driver looks like he just came off the Deliverance set, RUN!! :-laf

Got hold of Jeff Garman , in at 12 out at 4 !! Injector pump and starter.

Left his place made another drop in Vicksburg Ms then onto southern Mo and picked up a load of trailers.

Got as far as South Bend Ind and lost it again. OIl all over the engine compartment on the passenger side (front area) and no power.

I drove the 03 down and pulled the trailer in last nite. Son went down to trailer the 01 up today and is on his way back now.

HE removed the air cleaner to check the turb and it is nice and clean and impellor turns free with no play in it. Any ideas ?

Also, son found out that when the truck was towed off the interstate to the wrecker yard (about 7 miles ) they did not drop the driveshaft, i have always been told not to tow without removing driveshaft ?

Cummins just called for an ok to pull the head. Said done a compession test and found leakage in no 1 cylinder. said valve or piston.

88,000 miles on the original engine 87,000 on this one.
