Well, I got stranded on a busy road yesturday evening.
I was on my way home from work and I was waiting at a traffic light. THe light changes, I push my clutch pedal down to shift the truck into gear. As I depress the clutch pedal I hear the POP, and the pedal goes to the floor! YIKES
Now I'm sitting on a busy road, in the middle lane and my clutch pedal is swinging freely up and down (with the assistance of my left foot). NOT GOOD.
Fortunately, I was on a slight downward grade and a driver in the right lane was nice enough to hold traffic back while I proceeded to push (with the help of the hill) my truck off the road and into a gas station.
My first call was to the transmission shop that installed the clutch master/slave cylinder 12 days ago. They had a tow truck in route within 10 minutes of my phone call.
The tow truck arrives and I start laughing. It is an OLD (maybe early 80's) POS PSD. I thought the front wheel were going to come off the ground when he lifted me truck. I guess that's why he lifted the rear and not the even heavier front.
I followed the tow truck back to the shop and I talked to the owner.
He said they should have taken care of this morning. I sure hope there's no charge.
