this has never happened to before and i looked thruogh the archives. i pushed the panic button on my keyless entry by accident and it went off like it should. when i went to turn it off nothing happened . so figured that the battery was getting low so i used the key in the door to turn it off still nothing . so then i started the truck and it started but the horn and lights were still going crazy. so i went to the fuse panel under the hood and pulled the fuse for the horn it went off but the lights were still flashing . got back in the truck and for ****s and giggles turned on the headlights and it stoped . put the fuse back in everything all good . to me if the alarm was set off you shouldnt be able to start it . i dont know to much about this alarm so if anybody would like to explain this that would be great. and buy the way i can still lock and unlock the doors from inside of my house and it still works . ill be replaceing the battery just to be on the safe side .

2001 QC SHORT BED AUTO is my ride.

If you have penut style keyless entry this is not a full flege alarm it is not going to stop the thieves from taking your truck the dealer knows this and sell a alarm module but you have to buy the remote the panic button also shuts it off the panic feature that is. I just dropped $500 for compustar alarm remote start with a whole list of goodies that dodge for one reason or another dosnt want to do you dont haveto spend that much to be safe. But get some real security its real peace of mind.

Do yerself a favor, open the remote and put a small piece of saran wrap over the contacts for the panic. I hate that button. heh

thanks guys ni'm not a big fan of it either. i have been thinking about an aftermarket alarm with remote start. any suggestions ?
