Strange Clanking Noise??

Was driving down the road yesterday and heard a clanking noise that sounded like the drive line clanking. Crawled under the truck today and did not see anyting. Checked the front and rear diff both full. Nothing lose... Any ideas?? It does it coasting with the clutch in... dosent change around corners... . ???

OK... it turned out to be bad front drive shaft U joints... . being replaced now. If you hear a funny clanking noise from the front you know what to expect. 60,000 miles and the rear pinion seal and ft drive shaft.
