My clutch has felt stange the past few days. If I set in traffic with my clutch depressed for a while I have almost no pedal when I let off, and gear shifts aren't as smooth. I have a SB clutch with only about 50,000 miles on in, and not abused at all. I still have a full reservior of good fluid, so my assumption is there is some internal leak in either the master of slave cylinder. ?. Does that sound correct, and is there any easy way to tell if it would be one from the other?

I'm not getting any slippage, chatter or anything like that. Once engaged no problems.

Also, any hints on where or how much for replacement cylinders?

Thanks

Sounds like you're onto the likely problem. If it's not wet at the slave it's most likely the master leaking back into the reservior.

dealer price is $200 -$220. My truck is parked. I lost all feeling in the clutch and limped home so i would not have to abandon it. I went less than 100 miles before it went totally out.

Today i am going to buy the kit, you can get just the slave cylinder for about $80, but most places have to order it, then it needs to be bled.

at least get teh part so you are not stranded. had I not been empty and 5 miles from home I would have had a real headache.
