Strange code?

I just checked for codes via~ my Smarty... .....



P 0620 and a PD 403



Is there a code section or list in here? Even the Smarty didn't know what a PD 403 was.

The P0602 is a Checksum error - which is normal when you run a Smarty, when you go back to Stock it gets cleared



I have no idea on the PD 403 Code - Sorry

I could not find it anywhere. I could not even find a P0403, because I thought the D was a mistake.

If in fact it's P0403 rather than PD403 it is in regards to the EGR Solenoid Circuit. Section 9 (Engine), Page 414 in the 06 Service Manual. I can't find a PD403 code.

Yeah, but that P0403 EGR Solenoid Circuit code is listed for the Gas 4. 7L and 5. 7L, so I am not sure why it would be showing up for the Diesel. I can't find anything about P0403 related to the 5. 9L. They did not get EGR until the 6. 7L came slong right?

You're right - the code does not apply to the (5. 9) diesel. I just looked up the fault and thought "there it is". What is it they say about people who assume things? Never mind, I don't think I really want to know. Sorry about that so I guess you and me, and the rest who might be following this thread, are still in the dark.

I suggest try reading codes with a different code reader if possible and see if it shows different code. Could be a glitch in the Smarty code reading/definitions.

hey I got that same code in my 06 pd403 I was running it hard drag racing it with the crazy larry and the fuel milage indicator was saing low fuel when I had a half tank I put it back to stock and it went away that was 400 miles ago so who knows

PO are generic codes...

PD can be another computer (since the newer rams have multiple computers), like a body computer??
