Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Strange Fuel Milege and EGT Problem

I recently took the JR stage 4 injectors out of the truck temporarily to get better fuel milege. I was getting around 10 MPG out of the truck with the box off. A buddy of mine wanted to see what the injectors would do in his truck so I let him borrow them. His truck is an 02, single cab, 2WD, dully, 6spd. He is getting almost 19 MPG with the stage 4's and lower EGT's, and he's not babying the truck. I've checked the air filter and cleaned it and still no differance in my truck. With the stockers and the box on 1x5 I'm now getting around 14MPG. Does anyone have a clue whats going on? Thanks.

Whats boost like?Stock turbo?Might be wastegate stuck open. IAT sensor could be dirty. Bad MAP sensor? But i'm no expert so i'll shut up... .

Those all sound logical to me. Your truck bone stock with the Comp should be getting more in the 17-20 range at least (driven kinda sensibly). Check for codes, check for boost leaks, check the WG, check MAP and check/clean IAT.
