My OD unlocks whenever I hit a sharp bump in my Illinois roads. Can anyone give me a direction to look. It is a '95. It is fine unless it hits a bump and then it unlocks.

Thanks

Find you a bump where it does this every time. Go back over the bump and hold your brake pedal up with your foot where it can't move while going over the bump. If it doesn't happen then or if it unlocks when you pull the pedal up, it's your brake light switch. Replace it.

If not, maybe someone else can give some ideas.

95 has 47rh(hydraulic) the 47re(electronic) came out in 96.

I have read where a faulty brake light switch will make it come out of cruise but not OD?

lockup problem

You might consider a worn throttle linkage, this is what I found out after spemding a lot $ chasing what seemed to be the problem. it was a worn linkage, solved the problem with a dial in rheostat, works great. will rebuild linkage later. Stormy

Ok. Definitely not the brake switch, that I can tell. I hold it up, and it still unlocks. Good call on the battery cables, and linkage. I will check that today.

Thanks so far...
