My 03 is having a fairly high frequency shudder and I was guessing I had a bad U joint in the driveshaft. I jacked a rear wheel up and gave it a spin and it went very smoothly and easily and the joints appear to be fine. (I greased them again anyway)
It seems to be most noticeable when coming to a stop. It comes at about 20mph and goes until I stop. Pushing the clutch, coasting in N, or in gear doesn't seem to change it.
Should I drop the shaft to examine the joints more carefully? Maybe something in the diff? I would guess it's about the driveshaft speed
I might take it for a short drive and see if anything gets hot.
OK, where's that light bulb smilie? I forgot the front shaft turns as well in 2wd. I think I know what I'm working on next... .
