Attention: TDR Forum Junkies So when I brake from about 25mph to a stop, and also in reverse with a trailer or up a slight grade empty I get a strange sound from the rear diff. It sounds like lug nuts floating around in a big aluminum hub cap. The diff seemed to be warm at the pinion seal when running down at the road at 70 mph my infared thermometer said a high of 195 towing up a slight grade pulling 6000 lbs. Any ideas what it could be? I was going to start by pulling the drums and then pull the rear diff cover and take a look.
