Strange thread notifications

I get the email notifications when someone adds to a subscribed thread. There have been a few times lately that when I click on the link, I get to the thread but the new addition isn't there. Am I doing something wrong? I even went back to the forums, found the thread, and it's not there. No biggy, just wierd.

I'll bet that somebody edited a post in the thread, triggering the notification.

Or sometimes people post something, think better of themselves, and delete the post. So you get the notification, but by the time you visit the post is gone.

That makes sense, rbattelle. The text was not offensive or anything though. It just isn't there. Oh well.
