Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) strange transmission probs

Ok here goes first off I think this is a very informative site. Usually I just read but now I have a prob. The truck 96 auto 4" custom plate 1/2 way up BD transmission comp. MAGtech pan and diff cover exhaust brake,mystery switch,stock turbo,all the gauges. I think thats it. Ok now for the prob the transmission seems to shift from 1-2 but wants to hang in 2 till about 35 mph then shifts real hard into 3 then od just fine. When slowing down or stopping when it gets to 2 it shifts real hard again. Ok guys Help .

You might get by with a band adjustment, you should be able to do a shearch here or some mite give you a link to doing a trans tune up.

hey, is the transmission still stock inside? clutches and seals? how many miles/time on the trans? the front band is only on in second gear or passing. will it shift if you let up on it? Lots of times the seals inside the clutch piston harden up "take set" and they cause crazy/delayed shifts. this is usually worse when cold and sometimes gets better when warm. your sig says BD transmission comp. does that mean complete bd transmission? I have built a lot of stock trannys for this problem, don't know about the BD stuff. Gear Selector in "D" : 1st gear = rear clutch, 2nd gear = rear clutch + front band, 3rd gear = rear clutch and front clutch, seal trouble is usually front clutch. hope this helps, Dave.
