Stratus Recall Related Fire

My son's 2000 Stratus had the issue with the power steering hose that was the subject of the recent recall. He had an appointment for the tenth to get it replaced, but on the eighth it caught fire. My grandson was able to put out the fire with a garden hose before it got completely out of control but there is major under-hood damage.



The reason for this thread is to find out from any of you out there what he might expect from DC. Anything to be especially aware of? He says the DC rep has been pretty nice to deal with so far.

yup thats recall# E23 high presure power steering hose. i would think that DC should take care of you on that one. being that it was caused by the power sterring leaking down on to the exhaust manifold.
