I recently install a 6" Tuff Country lift on my 2007 Quad Cab Diesel. I took it up to the local 4wd shop and ask for a front end alignment. The service writer then reply " Well, I'll take you 105. 00 for the alignment but you really don't need one". I ask why... ... He said did you move your tie rod ends adjustment? I replied no. He then reply, A strisght axel like your dodge truely does have a alignment to be done except for the tow in and out. And if you did not change them during the lift process than you are o. k. He then showed me how to adjust my steering wheel back striaght and said that is all they would do but charge me 105. 00 for the adjustment. Is this all true or do I need to take it somewhere else? I paid alot of money for these tire and don't want them to wear out in 10000 miles. But if the service writer is right then he just safed me 105. 00. Thanks

Thats funny!!! :-laf:-laf Service writer needs to service write and not diagnose.

You need an alignment and here is why-

As you raise the frame up away from the axle housing the steering linkage gets shorter and will pull the tires inward. Even a 2" spacer needs a reset.

He then showed me how to adjust my steering wheel back striaght and said that is all they would do but charge me 105. 00 for the adjustment.
There he goes again:-laf showing you what to change when he should be writing service.

Go somewhere else for sure or expect outside tire wear from the sever toe in it now has.

Now, I will say that on much older 4x4 steering linkage or the Ford type that has a bar extending from one steering knuckle to the other then he would be right but not on your truck.
