stuck injector sound

we have a 08 sterling that randomly makes a clacking sound and black smoke out of exhaust. h&s tuner installed... . dpf deleted... thinking injector sticking momentarily... not a knocking noise like 5. 9. . has anyone experienced this and it turned out to be injectors?

Hey. . wanted everybody to know that the sound was an injector which had been contaminated by water and rust. pulled all the injectors and got new ones from industrial injection and installed xx-fuel system with water in fuel adapter, which i tested first with a cup of water,very sensitive, never seen the light come on before except when starting,briefly... truck runs awesome now!
