My 01 2500 stumbles sometimes (becoming more frequent though) at idle. It only seems to happen after it has been driven for some time. Then when you stop and it is in neutral idling, it has a little stumble. ANY load on it and it stops. If it is stumbling and the defrost compressor cycles, it stops. The truck runs good, I have 16 lbs of fuel pressure, my EGT's are normal and I can easily get 550 miles on a tank on about 30 gallons.

Any ideas? Seems like it might be a sticky injector or something like that, but I don't know. Didn't do it too much this summer, but now its almost every time I drive the think. Maybe winter fuel and a sticky injector?

Oh yeah, VP has been replaced and I am running a BD Flow Max LP.

Thanks,

Mine too

Mine is doing the very same thing. No problems driving, but when I stop it does the whole stutter/stumble thing. Put it back in gear, and it stops. No fuel pressure problems or anything. Reset the apps, changed fuel filter, etc. Still does it.

Does anyone have a tutorial for replacing the injectors. Would be really nice to have one like replacing the injection pump videos that Diesel Dan made.

Thanks

Craig

stumble

I just had my 01 in cummins service for same thing @ 2200 rpm it almost felt like clutch was slipping a little. I had them check fuel pressure it was fine they put it on dyno and cut each injectr 1 by 1 loaded at 2200 and with no load it didnt seem to make a difference but the fuel pressure was scary . good luck to both of you.
