Hello everyone. I don't converse much on here but I sure do a lot of reading especially when I am looking for help. I have a 2001 2500 CTD with 202K miles. Stock motor except running a Superchips programmer set to highest mode or hotrod, I can't even remember what's its called its been in there so long. running a FASS Platinum with Donaldson filter. Stock 47RE but it has a throttle cylinder from BD. VP44 replaced with Bosch Reman at 201888 miles (9-30-2020). Has ran perfectly until this past week. I was running highway speed out to a friend's place when the truck started grumbling and missing kinda like it was running out of fuel. Once I arrived the truck sat for about 4 hours while we cut up caribou meat. I decided to risk the 40 mile drive home and one of the guys said he would come rescue me if I broke down. Not one single miss on the way home. Next day I replaced the filters thinking I may have gotten bad fuel since I had filled up at a different store than normal. Ran it again after the filter change and it ran fine, no grumbling. Yesterday I was leaving for Napa to get a front axle actuator and the truck was running so badly I couldn't go so I idled back down the street to home. Today I checked for codes and found P0216 and P0602. The 216 is supposed to be for injection timing failure and is said can be caused by fuel flow issues. I tested the APPS with analog voltmeter today and it tested good. Can anyone take a crack at this? could I have shelled the 44 by starving it with dirty fuel or plugged filters??
