What is the going rate for a one-time haul?

I just had my summer tires put back on my truck (michelen LTX A/S) I just noticed that at least 2 of the tires were on different sides than when they were on before. Im certainly not a tire expert, but I thought that I remembered that it is bad to swap tires side to side . Am I remembering that right ? Or is there not really a problem here ?

Thanks,

I've been told that it's not a problem with Michelen. Some brands take a

"set" and do not like to have the rotational direction changed.

The factory service manual for model year 2002 shows the tires on Ram 2500's swapping sides as part of the tire rotation process.

The Michelin booklet (enclosed with owner's manual, warranty information, and the like on new 2002 Rams) states "... refer to your owner's manual for instructions on tire rotation... when rotating tires with a directional tread pattern, observe the arrows molded on the sidewall which show the direction in which the tire should turn... "

As posted above, go ahead and swap sides.

I have over 84,000 miles on my original Michelin LTX's and it would appear they can make it to 95,000 at least. I never use a tire with a tread wear bar showing. They have been rotated every 6,000 miles or so and are wearing perfectly evenly. The front go straight to the back and the rears cross to the other side on the way to the front. So each tire has been on evry position more than once. I keep them inflated to 60 psi minimum with higher pressure while towing or carrying the camper.
