Subscriptions to forums

Why do they seem to dissappear. I've been a "member" of some, and replied to others. I go back to the area where they are and find that I've missed 10 posts cause they don't come up in my user control panel. Even if I go back 2 days. I try to check my TDR stuff every day at least once, if not twice. What am I doing wrong?

The default view for subscribed threads in the control panel is "show threads from the last day". So if it hasn't had activity in the prior 24 hours it wouldn't show up. Also, if you use the quick reply feature you will not be subscribed to that thread unless you then click on "subscribe to this thread" after you make your reply. The system only checks your settings for your default on whether to subscribe you or not when you use the regular "post reply" function.
