Started to go to town to watch the OU game, when I noticed that my truck had the power of a Geo Metro #ad
. So I turned around and started back home, could only get into 4th before I started up the hill I live on(was able to start out at 60 and hit 75 in 5th in about 1/4mi going up this ?steep?% incline)I had to dowshift to 3rd. I have checked the archives, and tried my fuel solonoid, it seemed fine, did a test run, and it was hard to start this time... I am lost...

Can anyone tell me if it is my transfer(lift) pump, or what?

I just replaced the fuel return lines about a month ago, so I know its not them.

Thanks,
Scott P.

Lift Pump, fuel filter do fuel pressure test on them. If you don't ahve gauge go to diesel shop/or your favorite mechanic.

Also check screen on pre filter below fuel heater this can plug up. The filter in fuel tank also can plug up.

Hard to start does sound like fuel problem.

Is air intake system/Turbo Ok?
