Archived Sudden poswer loss and check engine light...

Going along about 40 mph fat dumb and happy. All of sudden lost power and started missing. I only have 14,600 miles. I have recently changed the air filter and fuel filter with the last 3000 miles. No water in fuel light indicated but I drained the fuel filter canister and no water. Air filter was clear. It felt like when my old gasser's catalytic convert plugged up. The exhaust seems to be coming out ok. Also, I have an Actron autoscanner but keep getting link failed when I try to read the codes.

Check your oil maybe bad injector. Do the three key on off to read codes.

Checked oil. Level is right on, smell and look is normal. 3 key - blank dashed line and then says "done".
When I hold down the trip meter button and turn on the key - all dash lights come on and I get S116, i281, & C447.

will it idle?? if so maybe lift pump. If not how about cam sensor?

It will idle. Engine sounds muffled. Very slow throtle response. It will rev up but it sounds like it is starving for air or fuel and runs rough. Do you think the wastegate could be malfunctioning?

I think it's a fuel issue. Your truck is new, tow to dealer. keep us posted.

Took it to the Dealer. Warranty covered issue - a faulty wiring harness caused the injector system to malfunction. Ordered the new wiring harness. Turns out the the ECM was bad and DC replaced it. Code p2149 Bank 2 High side short. Back running strong.
