See my mods in the sig below..... This week I am adding 370s and upgrading the clutch from a OFE to a FE. Pump timing is stock, AFC screw all the way out (good ol smoke).

Please suggest what you experts would set the timing to. I DO pull with the truck so low end is important to me (10k car trailer). But a little help up top is what i am looking to gain.

Thanks in advance.

With as much fuel as that 215 delivers, plus those 370's, you would good running 18* or so. Clear a lot of your smoke up, great top end, little effect on your bottom end.

My truck is at 17* and it tows beautifuly. I usually haul farm equipment. Between the trailer and the equipment the total weight is usually 10-15,000 lbs or more sometimes.

Plus higher timing will virtually eliminate the white smoke on cold day start-ups, which is caused by heavy fueling.
