Ok you guys can see from my sig what I'm running. My first truck never had "nice" wheels so I never knew that bleach white would hurt other wheels. Well after I got my brand new Eagle Alloys I was off to the car wash and I had picked up some bleach white for my white letters. Well after spraying it and washing the truck and going on about my business I noticed nice white spots on my new Alloys that wouldn't come off. Well to make a long story short 4 hours later that night with me and my g/f polishing the wheels really GOOD with Never Dull got the spots off. But they will never shine as good as new. :{ #@$%! :{ #@$%! :{

Anyhow I was washing the truck yesterday getting ready to take the g/f out to the drive in, and I couldn't figure out how to clean my white letters with any cleaner without it risnsing straight down on my rims:( . Or tire dressing for that matter. I love Tire Wet. I know they make covers for 16" wheels, but I've never seen any for 16. 5's. If any body has any suggestions on how to apply cleaner or tire dressing without it getting on my rims I would appreciate it A LOT!

To clean you raised white lettering on your tires..... use a wire brush... will make them look like new.

As far as spraying the wet tire... spray it on a sponge and wipe it on your tires only.

Hope this helps.

got smoke,

Been there, done that, just spray the bleechwhite on a scrubbrush, then scrub the tires and spray off.

I use BLUE MAJIC polish, you can get it at most truck stops, it's great for uncoated wheels, then spray on yer tire dressing, I also use tire wet on occasion, just spray it on and wipe off the rims with a towel, it leaves a sweet shine on the wheels.

I know exactly how you feel. I sprayed wheel cleaner on the tires, overspray got to the wheels. I ended up with black spots all over my Eagle wheels.

I bought some Magic Mix polish from a vendor at Diesel Extravaganza last Aug. It is available from VALCO Products in Cincinatti, OH (513-874-6550). It took a while to get them back but ALL of the black spots are gone and the wheels look almost as good as new.

As for covers, you need a large cardboard box, an elementary school compass, and a pair of scissors. Mark and cut a circle and you are in business. I needed a 16. 5" diameter cut out to cover my Eagel 16x8 wheels.
