I'm two counties up in Vermillion. I should be able to make that easy. In fact I was contemplating looking at a 2500 for sale in Sullivan. Maybe I could kill two birds with one stone :).

Anybody know where the fairgrounds is located?

I can get to Sullivan but don't have a clue where the pull is at in Sullivan. :(

Never mind, figured it out.

To the best of my knowledge here are the directions. Keep in mind a few things. The main highway running north/south in Indiana that goes past Sullivan IN (the city of Sullivan) is US41. I am basing everything off coming into Sullivan off of US41.

I believe you exit US41 on W. Washington street. You'll be going east from US41. I also think W. Washington Street eventually comes to the courthouse in the town square. The square goes around the courthouse and I believe there are some one-way streets involved there.

Anyway... go around the square on three sides I believe until you get to the First Farmers State Bank. You'll go right at that point. I believe you'll be going east of town on E. Washington Street. You'll come to a 4 way stop... keep going straight... and eventually go over a set of RR tracks. Somewhere you'll veer to the right and somehow will be very close to the grounds.

Kind of strange directions I know... but this is the best I can do without going down there to confirm.

:( I couldn't make it. 92 degrees/high humidity + central air unit broke yesterday + HVAC repair van in driveway = no show for me. :(

For the cost of my new central air unit... I could have installed some serious bombs. :(

Hope it was good.

It was pretty good.

A good selection of street class trucks.

Kevin Eickenberg's Duramax put the whoopin' on the Cummins in the street class.

Kent Crowder won the Open.

It was my first pull... . 216' for me.

Congratulations on a good first pull!! Was that in your old

green 2WD or your new one?? BTW,... ... did Kent go the

full distance in the Scheid Truck?

Thanks Justin!

John,

I pulled the new 4x4. It was nice to get my first pull out of the way.

Kent did great, but it seemed like a test and tune run.

He didnt spool up at the line too hard from what I could tell.

Even with the differences he still went full pull ++!!

The crowd loved it!

Not a bad pull at all.

The low of the night had to be the track crew. Let's just say they wheren't the quickest crew I've seen.

Justin did a heck of job for his first hook. I do believe he could give Sled Puller and run for his money if it came down to it. ;)

DB

Does anyone have the results from the Street Diesel class?

The track was hooking up super hard in the beginning, seemed to get a little better by the time the Diesel class started at 9:00. Enjoyed Kent's full pull, seemed like he had so much momentum going the sled kept pushing him when he shut it down! Did he really win the open? I thought he declined to be in the pull off so that would have made him 3rd place.

How about the late '70's Ford 4x4 that stood up on the rear axle and the back end came down to rest on the front of the sled?!?! That was a new one to me! Had to lift him off with a backhoe.

Trent

Not sure on the final order for the the Street class, but I do know that Kent did decline to pull in the pulloff at the end. So you are right he did come in 3rd.

I missed most of the gassers run, we where all sitting in the shade in the pitts shooting the breeze for the those trucks.

DB

I mistated in an earlier post.

Kent Crowder along with 2 other (gas) trucks made full pull.

Kent declined the pull off putting him in 3rd.

But, Kent's truck pulled the farthest of the night.

John, likewise see ya at Muncie.

I will probably pull there too. I am still way under-powered.
