On my 02, the sunglasses cubby in the overhead console is just about shot, the plastic clip that holds it closed is cracked badly. Any ideas about how to replace this?

thanks in advance

easy

With the lid in the "hanging down" position just pull straight out. Straight as in tword the tail gate, NOT down, trust me on the one. Do that and it pops right out. Getting the new one in is a little tricky, there are two little metal tabs that have to be lined up correctly and then it slides right in.

by the way

My cup-holder-fold-out-thing broke the next day, the plastic hinges sheared right off. That was 76 bucks at the dealer, and very easy to replace.

I too feel that the sunglass holders are all but worthless. Have to buy flat glasses... ... none of the "in" sunglasses will fit. However my 2000 Dakota would fit almost anything because it was so deep. Why can't they use those in the Rams.

I used mine once... . it was above 100 when I put them on. Needless to say, they were a tad unconfortable while branding my face with the wire frames. Now days I put them anywhere but up in that holder.

I used the space to put the controller for my 10 disc changer. When the latch cracked I put a dab of clear silicone in the space behind it. has worked for 8 months now.

magnets

I found a little pair of magnets, about 5mm in diameter. Just glued them on with epoxy. Note, gluing onto the foam doesn't last long, duh. I kept the latch piece after it broke off and glued it back on, makes a decent finger hold. My glasses fit fine, but then they're not , they're prescription.

I live in up in the sunglass holder.

Yeah, but I betcha it's a b**** to keep cool in the summertime.

Just joking with ya.
