Anyone have any experiences with Sunlite(Winnebago) truck campers? I am told that in 1999 they put the Winnebago name on them. I saw a add for a 99 10 1/2 - 11 footer (the owner isn't sure) with everything but a awning and generator. He's asking $7500 OBO. Says it's in great shape and 3600lbs. loaded. Sounds like a good price to me but I'm not familiar with sunlite. Anyone have any thoughts????

I should add that it has fiberglass sides, air, and electric jacks.

Thanks.

This probably doesn't count but I had a 94 Sunlite TT. I wouldn't buy another Sunlite if it said Waldorf Astoria on it! What a flimsy POS! Craig

thanks for the input Craig.

An update, It ended up being a 9 1/2 footer 2400lbs. Other than that it was as he described. He took my offer of $5000 so we'll see.

If I remember correct, Sunlite used to be made in PA. They had a problem with a fire at the factory or something.

However I used to travel tandum with a friend that used a Sunlite slide in. He had good luck with it and enjoyed it very much.

I think you got a great buy---Enjoy it.

We have a 2000 Sunlite Eagle Pop-up we bought new. It had one or two odd issues when I bought it, but nothing major. It was reasonably priced and I think a good value.
