sunroofs

hi all,does anyone have a sunroof in their truck?i have always liked them but have'nt seen one in our trucks. any ideas?thanks,mike

I have one in mine and I love it. The controls are set up with one touch open, vent or close so just tap the switch and your done. You can tap it again to stop it anywhere in its range of opening. I can open the sunroof and the rear slider and get a lot of airflow through the cab without much noise at freeway speed.

Mines from Webasto, its been in for almost 4 years with zero trouble. Tilts up or slides all the way back, the picture doesnt show it but the cover slides all the way out of the way when the roof slides all the way open.

My '06 had one when I bought it. I had one in a VW in college in the '60s and liked it then. Now I'm a lot older and have less hair. I also get skin cancers from too much sun so I don't open it. Depends on what you like, It's neat to say I've got it but I'll never use it unless circumstances are just right. Kind of like insurance or a warranty.

I have a factory one in my 06 Mega. One of the drain tubes was crushed from the factory. During a heavy rain, the water backed up and filled the DVD system with water.



They fixed the drain tube and replaced the DVD system and I've had no problems since. I like having it.

I have the same one that DHayden has and it's great. I also got the rain sensor option and it will auto close if left open and it starts to rain. The sunroof is a Hollindia(sp) which Webasto ownes and it's made in the Netherlands. I got the 780 model which is the largest one to fit a 2nd gen. Q. cab. I think it's the same brand that Volvo and BMW uses. Cost out the door was $1400. and the guy that installed it is a Dodge owner and has 18 years install experiance.

Mine has the rain sensor also, it was $1,395 out the door. I havent been able to check the paperwork to check exact model but I think its the same one as above.

Which one is it. The 780 is not shown maybe superceeded by the 790?

Just checked my paper work and it is the 790. Credit goes to DHayden as I saw his pictures when they first posted and had to have one. If not mistaken they are larger than a factory sunroof.

Mine is the same as the one in the pics and I got it installed at Kar Products in Modesto CA. They did it for 1200 and its guaranteed for life. I LOVE IT!
