A Superchip tuner is vin locked, so the first truck its programs is the only one it will program. You can check codes on your buddies truck, but not turn the power up.

If someone has a used one forsale you can send it back to Superchips to have the vin lock removed. Plus they will update it if there are any for the 1705. The warranty is up at 1 year and only good for original buyer... not like it matters I guess.

You can only use it on one truck at a time concerning the power increase. Once you return the original truck with the power upgrade back to the stock you can use it on your buddy's truck to turn up the power, but only one at a time. Code reader works on all trucks, doesn't matter who has the power tuned in.
