What are u guys torquing your superplug oil plug to? I'm going to the factory spec for the stock plug. ANy problems with that. As I recall it 44lbs/ft. Just want to make sure I dont strip out the pan, etc. I Havent had any probs yet. Also I use green nylon plug sealing washers, aprox 1/8" inch think instead of the fiber washers. Again no probs. ANyone see a problem with this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Thanks Rifleman,

Have u heard anything about a recall on these plugs? Saw something on the Product forum about a recall. I emailed Geno's ad have heard back yet.

Your post prompted me to go check my plug. It had in fact loosened somewhat. I re-torqued it to 40 ft/lb. This is certainly something for the users of these plugs to be aware of. Since I utilize extended oil drains, I only pull the plug once a year. I will have to check plug tightness when I rotate tires.

Perhaps someone will come up with a fix for this problem. I like everything about the new plug except this. Thanks for the heads up.

A member posted in 911 a while back about his super-plug falling out, lost his oil and caused engine damage. Needless to say he is now using the stock plug. Don't know if this is an isolated case but may be the reason Geno's is holding off on selling super-plugs till the problem is figured out. If I had a super-plug I'd definitely check to see if it's tight.

Holy crap it was loose.

It was loose, maybe what i'd consider just over finger tight. Hadnt started backing out though. This is bull crap!!!!!!!!. It was nowhere near the 40lbs/ft that it went in at!!!!!!!

CHeck em if you got em!.
