FP gauge buzzing ??

Any boxes have features like TST?

Just got done with a long trip from SD to the pacific and back. Love that CTD?

However with a 4" exhaust + no silencer ring... . I think my kids may wind up with hearing damage with a lifetime of trips like this. Which brings me to... super trapp mufflers. It looks like one of these things could attach to my tailpipe... instead of my stainless ATS 5" tip (which probably adds to the noise. . albeit musical to my ears).

Anyone have any experience using the Super Trapps with our Trucks?

Specifically, noise cancellation, soot build up, etc.

Thanks for the comments,

Gill

Noise

Gill: Put an 18" Dynomax muffler as far forward as possible on the Jardine exhaust and you'll be a much happier camper. I have the same setup and could'nt stand the noise. DW

I tried a 4" Supertrapp Muffler core. It slipped right in the 4" tip of my '98 12v 5spd. It was quieter than stock inside the cab with the winders up. Outside it sounded like I blew out a valve stem every time I got on the loud peddle. Terrible. Diesels pump about 40 times the air volume of a gasser. Not the same results at all.

I understand from reading here that the Banks exhaust has a nice tone but low drone in the cab$. My stock "03 exhaust sounds so good I lower the right rear window when I pass buildings or concrete barriers just to listen to it rumble!
